Becoming a Content Creator as an Introvert: Navigating TikTok, Amazon, and Pinterest

Introduction
In today's digital age, content creation has become a viable career path for many individuals, including introverts. The expanding landscape of social media platforms like TikTok, Pinterest, and even e-commerce channels like Amazon offer numerous opportunities for those reluctant to showcase their personality. This blog post will explore effective strategies I employed to become a successful content creator while staying true to my introverted nature. My main goal to start Content Creation was monetization from the platforms. Let's dive in
Amazon Affiliates
I started by signing up to be an Amazon Affiliate. There are no special requirements for this program, other than having an Amazon account. Once you become an Affiliate, you have 180 days to see 3 products from affiliate links. Seems simple enough right? I tried making ads in Canva and posting on Pinterest. I was all over the place with this method. Day after day I was seeing no views, no clicks, nothing. I knew I had to do something else. I started watching TikToks and saw a program called Amazon Influencers. Alright, let's try this out.

Throughout this process, I wasn't big on talking or showing my face on camera. I basically wanted to be faceless. Taking the first step into Content Creation can be embarrassing, especially as a mom in her 30s! My next thought was I could do the Amazon Review videos that I keep seeing people talk about! The caveat to this, you had to be "active" on a social media platform in order to get into the Influencer program. So I started a new TikTok, name it Caffeine and Chaos mom, hoping to be incognito. I was starting from scratch, no videos and no followers. I started slowly following other moms who were trying the same thing as me, wanting to make a little extra money to support their family. There was a trend of Mom Follow party that I would comment on and follow everyone who liked my comment. My followers grew pretty rapidly. I posted cringy videos, I recorded myself making dinner, dancing with my daughter, day in the life vlogs, anything I could think of. After about 2 weeks, I hit 1000 followers! Me! I did that! Now I could get into the TikTok Creator Pilot program and get commission off products in TikTok shop. This was not my main goal, but hey I'll accept anything at this point. Now, I felt like I could get into the Amazon Influencer program.
Fun Fact: My friends still don't know about my TikTok account!

Ahh, success! After applying a total of 3 times (there's no limit) I was finally accepted after reaching about 1000 followers on TikTok and actively engaging, I got the notification I was accepted. Finally! So now what do I do? My main goal was the review videos that get posted to products and you gain commission off of the sale, if the buyer purchases after watching your video. This sounded like a dream, no one I knew would probably ever see these.
The process for review videos: you submit 3 videos to your Amazon Storefront and wait about 7-10 days for approval. Only submit 3 videos because these are heavily scrutinized at first. After you get the approval (yay!), then you can submit away! Don't forget to track your views and see what's getting a lot of views and make another video on the same product. If you showed features on one, show you using it in a second video.
Conclusion
Becoming a content creator as an introvert is an entirely achievable goal. By utilizing platforms like TikTok, Pinterest, and Amazon strategically, you can carve out your niche without compromising your personality. Focus on showcasing your knowledge, interests, and creativity through thoughtful content. The journey may have its challenges, but with persistence and authenticity, any introvert can thrive in the content creation landscape.
